WOW!

TripAdvisor traveler rating: 5 of 5 stars

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Artemide for 2 nights during July and we absolutely loved it! I booked this hotel based on all of the outstanding reviews I had read on tripadvisor and hotels.com...and we found each of them to be true. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the complimentary minibar is a huge plus! The included breakfast is delicious and they offer a wide variety of food, juices, coffee, pastries etc. (My husband was especially fond of the scrambled eggs and bacon!) The staff and this hotel were friendly and so helpful! This hotel would be a perfect choice for anyone who is traveling to Rome and looking for a great place to stay! I would recommend it again and again!

As good as everyone says

TripAdvisor traveler rating: 5 of 5 stars

Selected the Hotel Artemide based on the Trip Advisor reviews and it is as good as everyone says. We booked a triple and were upgraded to a mini-suite, which was really spacious. Plenty of room for the three of us and the mountain of luggage we had since this was the last stop after three weeks in Europe. The bathroom was huge. The beds are typically European (i.e. hard), but the linens are soft, the room is immaculately clean and the bathroom is huge. The minibar is truly free and is restocked every day. It was 100 degrees F during our whole stay and we pretty much emptied it of water, soda and beer daily. We were given free Asti Spumante in the bar as well. The breakfast buffet is generous and much more varied than most European breakfasts and is also included. Also included is fifteen minutes a day of internet on the computer in the lobby. The air-conditioning struggled a little to overcome the heat, but did succeed. The only disappointment was that the roof terrace was not yet open (in July?) The location is very convenient, one block from the Metro which zips you right to the Spanish Steps or the Vatican. The Trevi Fountain is an easy walk, the Forum is a longer one, but scenic. You can also easily take the Metro to the Colosseum. The restaurants in the area were rather disappointing, but maybe we just picked the wrong ones. One great find was the National Roman Museum, which is just a few blocks away right off Piazza Republica, near Termini station. It contains amazing exhibits of Roman mosaics, frescos, sculpture, jewelry and coins. It is not a usual tourist spot and very uncrowded. We just wandered in one day around five and stayed until closing. It is amazing. Be sure to check it out.

Great Hotel!

TripAdvisor traveler rating: 5 of 5 stars

We absolutely loved Hotel Artemide - Location is perfect, near bus stops and a brief walk to Roman Forum and all the major tourist points. The room was extremely clean and spacious - The bed was so comfortable we could have slept all day - Fabulous buffet breakfast with an excellent staff to help us with our stay. We really liked the availability of the free internet access for the guests and the very friendly staff. Would recommend strongly to our friends.

Booked the hotel based on the reviews on Tripadvisor. It exceeded our expectations. Wonderful location. Large, beautifully appointed, modern rooms. Buffet breakfast - which was included - had great variety of foods and beverages. All in all a wonderful experience.

Great hotel, great value

TripAdvisor traveler rating: 5 of 5 stars

The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a junior suite without asking (not sure why) and it was beautiful. The room was on the top floor with a huge rooftop patio. Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there but it was still nice to have the extra room. This was our 3rd hotel in Italy and it was the nicest and cheapest. The other hotels were 4 star too. The location was very good. We were able to walk to most attractions easily and the subway was close by and easy to take. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Fantastic trip-woderful hotel

TripAdvisor traveler rating: 5 of 5 stars

Just returned from 3 nights at the Artemide. Excellent location, excellent hotel. The Teatro dell'Opera (where we saw Andrea Bocelli in 'Carmen') is just a short walk away. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was varied and set you up for the day. Free mini bar was a great bonus - always had a drink at hand. We had a fantastic suite on the top floor overlooking Via Nazionale, loved watching/listening to the buzz of the city (some may find this noisy but never a problem for us, loved it) Would love to visit Rome again, (threw coin in Trevi Fountain so here's hoping!) and when we do, we'll definately rebook the Artemide.
